JIL takes its name from André GILLIER, founding in 1825 of a company of hosiery in the region of Troyes, who will have the audacity to launch the first brand of men's underwear in the 1920s. The institutions André Gillier relied on undisputed expertise in the mesh to develop underwear delivering comfort and well-being to men. And the first season of JIL in 1929, they create a slip with an opening in the side pocket... In 1968, JIL fomented a revolution! Mark invades the small screen and performs the first "réclame" television history of masculine underwear: "JIL, underwear for men who do not laugh women"...
